Aside from keeping an eye out, all you need to do is simply press your Interact button when near one. You're introduced to them during the tutorial. The staff was superb and informative.Instead, you'll have to hunt them down in leaf piles that spawn around the island. I recommend a walk down MLK to enjoy the many murals.
COZY GROVE RELIC FREE
Parking is free but there isn’t a ton of it. At the end there is an African tribal mask display and video as a bonus. There is also ample area to sit as you pass through and several video displays to watch. Bring the kids, there is an interactive children area. I took several pics of “learn more” opportunities which I’ve already begun to research. The quantity and quality of the displays are great. The flow of the timeline is logical and natural. You can not get more inclusive than that. You start with the Indians on the Trail of Tears accompanied by African Americans and end with Critical Race Theory. The timeline, layout, and flow is superb. I was so pleasantly surprised at the overall high quality of this exhibit. While on a research trip I included the Bessie Smith Cultural Center as I passed through Chattanooga. We both enjoyed the experience and have expressed interest in doing a train ride again in the future. The station had their own light display and there were several places through town that still had Christmas lights. The ride itself lasted about two and a half hours. Our server was very kind bringing out the extra dessert with no issue. The wife liked the apple pie so much she requested apple pie instead of the chocolate cake. For dessert, I had apple pie and my wife had triple chocolate cake (the other option was cheesecake with strawberries). Both entrees were good, but we preferred the salmon to the roast beef. The sides were mashed potatoes and green beans. I ordered baked salmon with a roasted red pepper sauce and my wife had the roast beef. Dinner consisted of rolls, tomato bisque soup, an entree, and a dessert. The servers and conductor were very nice and informative of the train cars and their history. We enjoyed the ride, the food, and the service. We dressed up, as did most who were in the train. My wife and I took the New Year's Eve train ride as part of our honeymoon.
